Madison-Ridgeland Academy cordially invites you to be part of our 24th Annual community celebration, the Gardens of Madison County which will be held May 4 – 6, 2018. This wonderful weekend will kick off Friday evening with a Garden Party at the Lost Rabbit Town Center and Marina, followed by two days of tours featuring spectacular outdoor spaces and gardens, demonstrations by local businesses and chefs, as well as a Garden Market and Café and other events on the MRA campus. Proceeds from the Gardens of Madison County will support Madison-Ridgeland Academy’s mission of “Educating the Mind, Body, and Spirit” of each child through the continued expansion of academic programs, increased investment in faculty and staff development, enhancement of campus facilities, and upgraded technology school-wide. We are very proud to have been able to continue to build upon the strong foundation of excellence that has established Madison-Ridgeland Academy as a leader in independent education in our area. We consider it a great privilege to be able to provide an outstanding college preparatory education with a Christian foundation. MRA Announces Exciting New Building Project
As many of you know, MRA has been involved in strategic planning over the last few years and the Board of Trustees is pleased to make the following announcement: The projects identified through the strategic planning process as the school's most pressing needs at this time are listed below and are shown above. Due to the very thoughtful, conservative fiscal stewardship our school leaders have been committed to over the years, these initial projects will be able to be funded through the school's normal operating budget.
· Parking and Circulation · New Middle School Building · New Cafeteria
Campus parking and traffic circulation are always a priority and will be addressed throughout this building phase to better serve our patrons. Middle school is an important time in a student's life, academically, socially and emotionally. There are dramatic changes that occur during this time of life requiring a different, unique, and innovative approach to education. Currently at MRA every group has its own designated learning space except our middle school. By having their own space, this group of students will be able to grow and flourish in an age-appropriate environment structured specifically for them. This new building will also relieve classroom space limitations that we are currently experiencing in the elementary and high school. By providing additional classroom space, new programs and offerings can be considered. The addition of a new cafeteria will enhance the overall dining experience of students in grades 1-12 with a much larger serving area and dining space. Through the strategic planning process, it was recommended that a study be conducted to determine the feasibility of a capital campaign to fund possible additional projects. The feasibility study will begin this spring and will conclude in July. Again, we are very excited about what is on the horizon for MRA and appreciate your input throughout the strategic planning process. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact any of the Board of Trustees or Administration. More information will continue to be available on the MRA website under the "Strategic Planning" tab at the top of our website homepage.
Parents & Teachers Association
We would like to invite and encourage each MRA family to participate in our annual school fundraiser, “The Gardens of Madison County.” This is the school's primary fundraiser that not only allows the school to raise funds needed to keep tuition affordable, but also provides MRA with positive publicity in our community. The event is scheduled to start on April 29, 2016, with the annual Garden Party, followed by the Garden Tour on April 30-May 1, 2016. We need the support of all MRA patrons with this event as it continues to grow each year. Please take a moment to look over the many committees that are offered and sign up to help with this wonderful event. Remember it takes all of us to make it happen, and we need your help!! If you have questions, please contact either of us. We look forward to hearing from all of you and thanks so much for your help!
Many blessings,
Becca Dickerson and Alison Horner
