Transitioning to a new school is a big step on your child's educational journey both for your child and for you! We are delighted to assist you with answers to frequently asked questions, important dates to remember, and links that will help you as you make this move. Of course, please call or email the Office of Admissions with any questions. We are thrilled to welcome you to the MRA family!

My MRA

All new patrons will be able to access our parent portal, MyMRA , after June 4, 2019. You will find MyMRA located in the top right hand corner of our school's website. This is a secure portal for parents (Kindergarten - 12th grade) and students (6th - 12th grade). To log in to MyMRA, you will use your username and password for MyBackpack - the system used when you signed your MRA Tuition Contract. On MyMRA, you will have access to all daily announcements and news for the school. It will also be a resource for handbooks, school supply lists, course guides, summer reading lists, etc.

MRA Uniforms

Dennis Uniform is our uniform provider and is conveniently located in Flowood (address and hours below.)

Additionally, the MRA Dennis Uniform website is available for online orders. To access the site, go to the Campus Life/Uniforms tab on our website and click on the red Dennis Uniform button located on the right side of the page.

The Patriot Store

The Patriot Store is open doing the school year every Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and at various times in the summer. In the Patriot Store, you’ll find school-approved outerwear, sweatshirts, t-shirts, jerseys, and other spirit wear. The store is located at the north end of the football concession stand on the west side of the field.

Course Selection

For Middle and High School parents, your child’s courses may be scheduled by appointment with our Guidance Counselors. Contact Libbo Crosswhite at lcrosswhite@mrapats.org for 9th – 12th grade schedules or Michelle Edwards at medwards@mrapats.org for 6th – 8th grade schedules. Course selection sheets can be found on the academic tab after logging in to MyMRA.

Summer Reading

Summer Reading assignments can be found on our website by logging into to MyMRA , choosing your school, and clicking on the Summer Reading tab.

Middle and High School Summer Reading Testing Information:
Tests will be administered on the first Friday after school starts. All classes will take one test which covers all books that were assigned to that class, and this test will count as one test grade in the 1st nine

Elementary Summer Reading Testing Information:
The elementary library and elementary computer lab will be open during these times to take summer reading AR tests:

June 26 (Wed.) July 17 (Wed.)
8:30-11:00 a.m. MRA Elem. Computer Lab

Tests must be taken by Friday, Aug. 16.

There will be NO testing on Meet the Teacher Day.
Children can also take tests the first week of school.

School Supply Lists

Prior to June 16th, kindergarten and elementary parents may order pre-packaged school supplies to be delivered at the beginning of school To access this information and to find lists of school supplies for your child's grade, log in to MyMRA using your username and password for MyBackpack - the system used when you signed your MRA Tuition Contract. Once logged in, you will land on the Parent Portal page. From there click on your child's respective school in the left-hand navigation menu. The school supply lists are located in the information tabs on the lower portion of the page. The pre-packaged order form is also located there.

Middle and High School supply lists are located on your MyMRA tab on the parent portal page.

Devices - 2019-20 MRA Technology Rollout Schedule

Every MRA student will be using an MRA-owned device. We have three full-time IT professionals, along with two IT Centers for tech support where IT professionals are on call throughout the school day.

● July 25 and 26 – Those students in grades 6-12 who were unable to come on their assigned day (9:00 am - 12:00 pm)

The distribution times for each day will be 9:00 am until noon. These distributions will take place in rooms 204-A and 204-B, which are on the same hall as our tech center. Students should enter the school through Student Services and use the steps located near that entrance.

It is our hope for each student to have his/her full profile ready to begin the school year before we report to school on Wednesday, August 7, 2019.

Additional Technology Rollout Information

There will be several other log-ins and access permissions that our students will need to begin the school year. When your student arrives to receive his/her iPad, Chromebook, or MacBook, we will have an assembly line of stations to get all of our students ready for the school year. These stations will include setting up or reactivating the following:

Google Drive account
Fingerprint for security doors
School IDs will also be made for our new students. We anticipate this process taking between 30 – 45 minutes for each student. Please mark your calendar for the day(s) that your student(s) will need to report. We hope you enjoy the rest of your summer break, and we look forward to a great school year.

valley Food Services

Valley Food Services provides every family the peace of mind that comes from knowing their child will always have lunch money. Through their secure on-line pre-payment system, My Payments Plus, parents enjoy the ease and flexibility of making pre-payments to a secure individual account.
