Be the Hands and Feet

At MRA, service isn’t just something we do. It is part of who we are. From the very beginning, our students learn that honoring God means loving and serving others in everyday ways, not just once in a while. It starts early with fun, grade-level projects that show even our youngest students they can make a real difference. As they grow, so do their opportunities through service projects, local partnerships, clubs, and mission experiences that open their eyes and grow their hearts.

By high school, students are completing community service hours each year, working toward the 40 required for graduation. But what matters most is what they’re gaining along the way—a genuine sense of compassion, responsibility, and a heart for serving others.

Helping Hands

Happy Hearts

Whether they’re helping right here in our community or beyond, our goal is simple: to grow students who lead with kindness, serve with purpose, and reflect Christ in all they do.

Making Wishes Come True

This year, MRA students set out to grant 2–3 Make-A-Wish requests — and ended up giving seven wishes!

Students from every grade participated in a walkathon to raise funds, showing that even small steps can make a big difference.

Three of the wish recipients joined us on campus as over 1,400 students gathered to celebrate, pray, and cheer them on. It was a joyful reminder that serving others can create extraordinary impact and bring God’s love to life.

His Heart Ministries

Service at MRA has been a crucial part of my life and growing in my faith.  I’ve been given opportunities to serve within the MRA community, in our local Jackson community, in Boston, Orlando, Houston, and even in Guatemala. Someone once told me, “To serve is to love and to love is to feel loved." As Christians, we have been given the greatest gift of love through the work of Christ on the cross and in response we are called to love and serve others. I am so thankful MRA instills this in our students and gives them many opportunities to live this out each and every day.- Lauren Stratton,MRA Teacher and SLi Mentor
